Sign in to vote. Hey guys, I've been pretty frustrated the last week in trying to get my printer to work with Vista Business. Unfortunately, I seem to be getting strange behavior from the printer.
When I hit print, the document spools and says it is printing, but never actually makes it to the printer. I've gone back and forth with HP support through e-mail, but it seems like I'm just going in circles. Interestingly, the printer scans just fine, and the computer knows if I open the door to access the print cartridges, but it just doesn't seem to want to print.
I installed the newest drivers from HP and re-installed several times , and even tried a USB patch that was listed on these forums even though it wasn't really designed for my computer. Nothing has helped. I also tried a different printer a Lexmark X to see if I had the same problem, and I do.
This tells me that it is probably a problem with the computer somewhere, but I'm just not sure where to look. In case I didn't already mention, both of these printers were connected directly to the computer via USB.

Acer had previously been unaware of this probelm in the , and therefore had not created a driver to fix it. Last I checked, the file was not on the Acer support site, so I uploaded it to Rapidshare for anyone to download if they'd like.
